Spain immigration amnesty draws 1.2mn applicants

While Europe is facing an illegal immigration crisis, Spain has taken an approach long campaigned for by progressives: a comprehensive path towards legal status. One in 45 Spanish residents is in the country illegally; under the new program, to provide a path towards legal status, 1.2 million of them have applied, with 159,000 already being brought into the system.
