Millions lose food stamps under Trump cuts. Arizona is hardest hit

The Trump administration's changes to the SNAP program, expanding work requirements and excluding certain immigrants from applying, have already caused massive losses in benefits across the country. Arizona, having implemented the requirements early, has seen a drastic 53% benefit loss affecting a huge swath of its population. Other states that are just beginning to implement the new requirements are also seeing double-digit enrollment losses. All while food costs continue to rise.
