Immigrant Arrests Surge to 10,000 in 5 Days as ICE Clamps Down

ICE has hit record daily arrest numbers, rising to 2,000 arrests daily, this time without major public resistance or outrage. With new leadership instilled within ICE, they have focused their operations on less warfare-like tactics than we saw previously, now focusing on arresting people at check-ins with immigrations authories, during traffic stops, and out on the street. This major rise in arrests is all before recent Supreme Court rulings expanding the President's authority on deportation and jeopardizing millions more for deportation through essentially the dismantling of the TPS program. We can only expect this number to rise now.
