The Supreme Court Just Gave the G.O.P. a New Midterm Edge

With our political system already captured by large organizations and Super PACs, today's Supreme Court decision will only amplify their influence. Striking down major restrictions on the amount of money individuals and organizations can give to candidates and political parties will undoubtedly favor the Republican G.O.P, whose majority of donation income comes from larger organization who now have a much higher limit to contribute. That, alongside new rule changes on communication between political parties and candidates, will cause new calculations to go into the upcoming midterms.
