Senate for first time approves a war powers resolution in a rebuke to Trump over Iran conflict

The Senate's passing of the War Powers Resolution, which is largely symbolic, is less a rebuke of Trump and more a reminder of how far we are from real power being asserted by Congress to take back control of this country. Republican Congress members throughout Trump's presidency will be remembered as dogs trained to kneel. Democratic Congress members will be remembered as too weak-willed to inspire change.
